Project overview
Novapark, a new memorial park company offering comprehensive pre-planning services, sought to establish a strong online presence. Their services include premium burial plots, columbarium niches, and personalized tomb design and construction.
Over a four-week period, I designed a user-friendly and visually appealing website that showcases Novapark's services effectively. Collaborating closely with developers, I ensured the website reflects their brand identity and provides a seamless user experience.
The launch of Novapark's website is aimed to connect them with potential clients seeking dignified and personalized funeral arrangements. I am proud to have contributed to this project, knowing the website will serve families during a difficult time.
Thus, the question asked:
How do we tell Novapark's full brand story on their website?
01
Understanding Client's Niche
RESEARCH
HOW DID I FIRST APPROACH THE PROBLEM SPACE?
1/ Research
I have set some time to investigate the client and business needs that the website must address, and what functionality is required to achieve this. I conducted a comprehensive competitor analysis and their website audit to identify areas for improvement and craft a unique customer journey that would differentiate Novapark in the market.
2/ Site goals review
Following this, the Novapark website project kicks in a collaborative dive into their brand identity and website vision through an onboarding session and kickoff call.
This project is interesting because the client have a lot of ideas and feature he wanted to showcase in the landing page (like 3D tours and stuffs). But due to Framer yet being an evolving tools and my own development knowledge limitations, there are some integrations that were KIV (kept in viewed).
3/ Sitemap creation
Leveraging the insights gained, I developed low-fidelity wireframes to establish the user experience foundation, which was then refined through iterative feedback sessions. It was also crucial to keep in mind designing a sitemap that can be extendible into specific pages as we progress along the way in the future as well.*
02
Piecing It Together
1/ Wire framing
Through close collaboration with the Novapark team, we transformed the low-fidelity wireframes into high-fidelity mockups. These designs incorporated their brand voice, signature colors, and captivating imagery, ensuring a cohesive brand experience.
2/ Design & Developement
Following UI & Website research, I transitioned to creating high-fidelity mockups. Leveraging established brand guidelines for cards, typography, and color palettes, I incorporated modern gradients for a fresh look. Following client approval of the UX/UI design, I further develop the design using Framer.
3/ Test & Launch
As a one-man show team, I carried the implementation process and conducted rigorous quality assurance testing.
This meticulous approach ensured the designs were translated flawlessly, fulfilling all functional and aesthetic goals.

Reflections, reflections
Designing this web page for Novapark was a fun project, as I always enjoy working on landing pages. Had to confess, I was a little nervous in the beginning because :
A) I don't know how to speak, write, let alone read in Mandarin and;
B) I am foreign to their burial tradition to understand much about the aesthetics and feel of the design.
Collaborating with their CEO and team was a great experience, and I believe we successfully achieved a modern, clean, and visually appealing site that meets the theme of their business-nature and prioritizes key information. A
The iterative nature of design became especially clear on this project. There's no true "finish line" in design; each day presents new challenges to solve and opportunities to explore. Striking a balance between ongoing research and execution was key. While continuous research wouldn't have been productive, neither would dwelling solely on minor adjustments. Every step informed the next, and valuable feedback from both customers and internal teams guided my decision-making process.

Post Design Commitments
Beyond the initial project scope, there are ongoing monthly tasks associated with this project, such as:
1/ Monitoring and maintenance
This includes keeping the website up-to-date with the latest security patches and software updates, as well as fixing any bugs or glitches that may arise.
2/ Content creation and updates
This could involve adding new blog posts, articles, or other types of content to keep the website fresh and engaging.
3/ Search engine optimization (SEO):
This involves optimizing the website's content and structure to improve its ranking in search engine results pages (SERPs).
4/ Social media promotion
This involves promoting the website on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
5/ Analytics and reporting
This involves tracking website traffic and user behavior to measure the effectiveness of the website and make improvements as needed.
